Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve, Count of Samsø (1678 – December 1719) was a Danish Admiral in the Royal Danish-Norwegian Navy and Governor of Iceland. He was an acknowledged illegitimate son of King Christian V of Denmark and his officially acknowledged royal mistress Sophie Amalie Moth.
Gyldenløve was general of the Realm (Danish: rigsgeneral) and commander-in-chief of the Danish army during the Dano-Swedish War of 1657–1658. Ulrik led the charge of a student army against the Swedish army during the siege of Copenhagen in 1658.
Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve (Castillo de Jægersborg, 7 de abril de 1630- Copenhague, 11 de diciembre de 1658) fue el hijo ilegítimo de Cristián IV y Vibeke Kruse, la camarera de su segunda esposa Kirsten Munk.
Christian IV had many illegitimate children by various mistresses. Three of his illegitimate sons were officially recognised and given the surname Gyldenløve: Christian Ulrik (1611–1640) by Kirsten Madsdatter. Hans Ulrik (1615–1645) by Karen Andersdatter.

Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve (1678, Samsø – December 1719) was a Danish navy Admiral and Governor of Iceland. He was an acknowledged illegitimate son of Christian V of Denmark and Sophie Amalie Moth.
When Gyldenløve was 6 years old, his father appointed him Governor of Iceland, then a Danish possession, a position that he held until his death, although he never visited the country.
Although Frederick IV of Denmark strongly distrusted nobility, his half-brother, Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve became Lieutenant General Admiral of the Danish Fleet in 1697, ultimately going on to become Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. He is also recognized as the founder of the Royal Danish Naval Academy.

Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve var en dansk greve, sønn av Christian 5. og Sophie Amalie Moth, og bror av Christian Gyldenløve. Han fikk ved fødselen tittelen lensgreve av Samsø. Gyldenløves herkomst skaffet ham høye embeter. I 1697 ble han generaladmiralløytnant og i 1711 generaladmiral.
