Ivar Tenisovich Smilga (Russian: И́вар Тени́сович Сми́лга, Latvian: Ivars Smilga; 2 December 1892 – 10 January 1938) was a Latvian Bolshevik leader, Soviet politician and economist. He was a member of the Left Opposition in the Soviet Union.

Ivar Smilga was born in Aloja, Latvia in 1892. He joined the Bolsheviks and in 1917 he became chairman of the Regional Committee of the Russian Soviets in Helsingfors.
