  6. Biography. William (Edmonstone) Edmonstone VIIth of Duntreath is a member of Edmonstone Clan. At some date, shortly before 1607, William Edmonstone, together with his brother James, came over to Ulster to join Sir Hugh Montgomery in the Newtownards area. In August 1607 they were granted lands in that area.
