Count Alexey Petrovich Bestuzhev-Ryumin (Russian: Алексей Петрович Бестужев-Рюмин; 1 June 1693 – 21 April 1766) was a Russian diplomat and chancellor. He was one of the most influential and successful diplomats in 18th-century Europe.

Aleksey Petrovich Bestuzhev-Ryumin, Count (əlyĬksyā´ pētrô´vĬch byĬstōō´zhĕv-rēōō´myĬn), 1693–1766, Russian statesman. With the accession (1741) of Czarina Elizabeth, he was appointed vice chancellor and (1744) grand chancellor.

Second son of a Muscovite noble family, Alexei Bestuzhev-Ryumin went abroad in 1708 with his older brother, Mikhail Petrovich (1688 – 1760), to study at the Danish noble academy and transferred to Berlin in 1710.
May 22 (June 1), 1693 in the family of Moscow nobleman, Pyotr Mikhailovich Bestuzhev, was born Alexei Bestuzhev-Rumin, Count, Russian statesman and diplomat, field-marshal general (1762). In 1708-1710 Alexei studied in Copenhagen, in 1710-1711 - in Berlin; he knew Latin, French and German.
