Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT (born 1 December 1961) is a Trinidadian politician, who is the president of Trinidad and Tobago since 2023. She was president of the Senate of Trinidad and Tobago from 2015 until her resignation to run for president in 2023.

As President of the Senate, Ms. Kangaloo acted as President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on thirty-three (33) occasions. Ms. Kangaloo was the first person who served as Vice President of the Senate, to become the President of the Senate.
Ms. Christine Kangaloo was elected our nation’s new Head of State at a Meeting of the Electoral College held on Friday January 20, 2023. At the Meeting of the Electoral College, two nominees were presented – Ms. Christine Kangaloo (Government’s nominee) and Mr. Israel Raja Khan (Opposition’s nominee).

Ms. Christine Kangaloo was elected President of the Senate on August 28, 2021 following the 2020 General Election. She was first elected to this position in September 23, 2015, following the 2015 General Election.
