Henry le Despenser (c. 1341 – 23 August 1406) was an English nobleman and Bishop of Norwich whose reputation as the 'Fighting Bishop' was gained for his part in suppressing the Peasants' Revolt in East Anglia and in defeating the peasants at the Battle of North Walsham in the summer of 1381.

HENRY LE DESPENSER or SPENCER (d. 1406), bishop of Norwich, was the fourth son of Edward, second son to Hugh le Despenser 'the younger', who was executed in 1326.
Of the many treasures in Norwich Cathedral one of the most important is the Despenser Retable, which forms the altarpiece in St Luke's Chapel, situated at the south-east end of the cathedral. The retable dates back to c.1382 and is one of the finest surviving examples of late fourteenth century church art anywhere in Europe.
