Carl Leonhard Reinhold 1 ( Viena; 26 de octubre de 1757- Kiel; 10 de abril de 1823) fue un filósofo y, como escritor, el más importante representante de origen austríaco de la Ilustración alemana. Su hijo Ernst Christian Gottlieb Reinhold (1793-1855) también fue filósofo.
Karl Leonhard Reinhold (26 October 1757 – 10 April 1823) was an Austrian philosopher who helped to popularise the work of Immanuel Kant in the late 18th century. His "elementary philosophy" ( Elementarphilosophie) also influenced German idealism, notably Johann Gottlieb Fichte, as a critical system grounded in a fundamental first principle.

Obra del filósofo Karl Leonhard Reinhold (1758-1823), publicada en Leipzig en 1786-87, en el «Mercurio alemán». En esta obra, a la que debió su primera notoriedad, el autor expone libremente la filosofía de Kant, sobre todo desde el punto de vista del problema religioso.
