Robert de Vere, 9th Earl of Oxford, KG (16 January 1362 – 22 November 1392) was a favourite and court companion of King Richard II of England. He was the ninth Earl of Oxford and the first Duke of Ireland and the only Marquess of Dublin.

Robert de Vere, 9th earl of Oxford (born 1362—died 1392, Leuven, Neth. [now in Belgium]) was a favorite of King Richard II of England (ruled 1377–99) during that monarch’s minority. He led the group of courtiers who unsuccessfully supported Richard’s efforts in 1385–87 to wrest control of the government from powerful nobles.

Robert de Vere (after c. 1165 – before 25 October 1221), hereditary Master Chamberlain of England, was the son of Aubrey de Vere, 1st Earl of Oxford, and Agnes of Essex. He succeeded his brother as the third Earl of Oxford, and was one of the twenty-five guarantors of Magna Carta.
