Alice Maud Olivia Stanley, Countess of Derby (née Montagu; 15 August 1862, Westminster – 23 July 1957, Coworth Park) was born the daughter of the 7th Duke of Manchester and his wife, Countess Louise von Alten. Marriage. On 5 January 1889, she married Lord Stanley of Bickerstaffe.
In about 1579 Alice married her first husband, Ferdinando Stanley, heir to the Earldom of Derby, and a claimant to the English throne. His mother, Lady Margaret Clifford , was heir presumptive to Queen Elizabeth I from 1578 until her death in 1596.
5 de jul. de 2019 · This is the resting place of Alice Spencer Stanley Egerton, dowager countess of Derby, who died on 26 January 1637. The countess also left her mark a few hundred yards away with almshouses she established in her will, ‘for the relief and maintenance of six poor women of the said parish to reside’. 2

Alice married twice, with her first husband being Ferdinando Stanley, Lord Strange, heir to the earldom of Derby. His mother was Margaret Clifford, Countess of Derby, a claimant to the English throne through her maternal grandmother, Mary Tudor, Queen of France and sister to the former king, Henry VIII.
