Al-Qáhir. Dinar de oro de al-Qáhir. Al-Qáhir (árabe القاهر بالله al-qāhir bi-llāh ), cuyo nombre completo es Abu Mansur Muhámmad al-Qáhir bi-Il-lah (أبو منصور محمد القاهر بالل) fue califa de Bagdad en el periodo 932-934. Nació en 899 y murió en 950.
Al-Qahir appointed Muhammad ibn al-Qasim ibn Ubayd Allah as vizier. Al-Qahir embarked on a firmly anti-Shi'a policy, declaring himself the "Avenger of the enemies of the Faith" (al-muntaqim min aʿdāʾ dīn Allāh), a slogan which he even put on his coins.
Al-Qahir nombró visir a Muhammad ibn al-Qasim ibn Ubayd Allah. Al-Qahir se embarcó en una política firmemente anti-chií, declarándose "vengador de los enemigos de la fe" ( al-muntaqim min aʿdāʾ dīn Allāh ), eslogan que incluso puso en sus monedas.
Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is Al-Qahhar (in Arabic: ٱلْقَهَّارُ), meaning the one who prevails over all creation. The universe runs according to the laws laid down by Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ. He is dominant, the master of all, and is victorious over all opposition.
