Henry XI of Legnica ( Polish: Henryk XI Legnicki; 23 February 1539 – 3 March 1588), was thrice Duke of Legnica: 1551–1556 (under regency), 1559–1576 and 1580–1581. He was the eldest son of Frederick III, Duke of Legnica, by his wife Katharina, daughter of Henry V, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin .
The Duchy of Legnica (Polish: Księstwo Legnickie, Czech: Lehnické knížectví) or Duchy of Liegnitz (German: Herzogtum Liegnitz) was one of the Duchies of Silesia. Its capital was Legnica (Liegnitz) in Lower Silesia.
1 de abr. de 2018 · On April 9, 1241, they encountered Henry's army near present-day Legnica in southwest Poland. Possessing a mixed force of knights and infantry, Henry formed for battle with the mass of Mongol cavalry.

He was the eldest son of Frederick III, Duke of Legnica, by his wife Katharina, daughter of Henry V, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
In December 1571 he was named co-ruler of the Duchy of Legnica, under the tutelage of his brother Henry XI. Frederick IV decided to use the commitment to Henry XI in the religious war in France to be released from the guardianship of his brother.
