Leopold von Anhalt-Köthen (* 29. November 1694 in Köthen; † 19. November 1728 ebenda) war regierender Fürst von Anhalt-Köthen aus dem Hause der Askanier. Er ist als Förderer und lebenslanger Freund Johann Sebastian Bachs in die Geschichte eingegangen.

8 de may. de 2021 · WITH the unexpected death of the 33-year-old Prince Leopold of Anhalt-Cöthen in November 1728 it fell to J. S. Bach as the Prince's honorary (or ‘non-resident’) Capellmeister and erstwhile employee to supply and supervise music for the ensuing funeral ceremonies.
