He is the Jacksonian Professor of Natural Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, where he is also a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, as well as a professor at the University of Geneva.

Professor Didier Queloz, FRS, is at the origin of the ‘exoplanet revolution’ in astrophysics when in 1995 during his PhD with his supervisor they announced the first discovery of a giant planet orbiting another star, outside the solar system.
Didier Queloz is a professor of physics at the University of Cambridge’s Cavendish Laboratory and professor of astronomy at the University of Geneva (part time). He is one of the originators of the “exoplanet revolution” in astrophysics.
