Nevertheless, it has a number of terrific scenes and a liberal sprinkling of humour that still ensures it’s a treat to watch time and again.

  7. Lieutenant Columbo arrives at the beach house still believing that the candidate for senate was murdered. He discovers that it was a case of mistaken identity, and the campaign manager was the real victim.
