The University of Bridgeport (UB or UBPT) is a private university in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The university is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. In 2021, the university was purchased by Goodwin University; it retained its own name, brand, and board of trustees.
We are located in the state of Connecticut, just 1.5 hours away from New York City and 2.5 hours away from Edison, New Jersey. Our close proximity to the largest financial center in the world gives our International students access to plentiful job opportunities including internships in New York.
