Obtuvo su estatus como Universidad completa en 2007. Está localizada en Musselburgh, East Lothian cerca de Edimburgo. Su nombre hace referencia a Margarita, esposa del rey Malcolm III de Escocia. Just six minutes by train from Edinburgh city centre, students at QMU enjoy the community of campus life, with easy access to the beautiful coastline and countryside of East Lothian.
QMU’s strong graduate employment statistics are underpinned by a focus on preparing students for a career, not just their first job. In line with QMU’s commitment to providing the optimum balance of theoretical and practical learning, a high percentage of courses feature work placements and/or are accredited by professional bodies.
Teaching is informed by QMU’s research expertise. The University is home to research centres focusing on themes ranging from food development and innovation through to person-centred practice in health.
