René Aldebert Pineton de Chambrun (Paris, 23 août 1906 – id., 19 mai 2002 [1]) est un avocat d'affaires, membre de la famille Pineton de Chambrun. Il est le gendre de Pierre Laval.
René Aldebert Pineton de Chambrun ( French pronunciation: [ʁəne aldəbɛʁ pintɔ̃ də ʃɑ̃bʁœ̃]; 23 August 1906 – 19 May 2002) was a French-American aristocrat, lawyer, businessman and author. He practised law at the Court of Appeals of Paris and the New York State Bar Association.
The Comtesse de Chambrun’s son, René, marries Pierre Laval’s daughter Josée in 1935. Laval is a prominent figure under Pétain’s government under occupied France. Chambrun’s connection with Laval helps the American Library remain open during the Nazi turmoil.
