  1. Philipp Apian (14 September 1531 – 14 November 1589) was a German mathematician and medic. The son of Petrus Apianus (1495–1552), he is also known as the cartographer of Bavaria .

  3. Philipp Apian war ein süddeutscher Mathematiker, Arzt, Kartograf und Heraldiker. Er war Universitätsprofessor in Ingolstadt und Tübingen und wurde auch durch die erste Landesvermessung Bayerns bekannt.

  4. Philipp Apian was the son of the celebrated cartographer Peter Apian, who held the position of Geographer and Astronomer Royal at Ingolstadt, and he succeeded his father as Professor of Mathematics at Ingolstadt University in 1552.
