Elisabeth "Elisa" Charlotte Constanzia von der Recke (née von Medem; 20 May 1754 – 13 April 1833) was a Baltic German noblewoman, writer and poet.

Though most of her works have now vanished into the dust of libraries, during her life as an author, traveler, social luminary, and salonnière, Elisa von der Recke stood at the crossroads of European history and culture.
Elisa von der Recke's literary accomplishments include poetry, journals, an autobiographical essay which appeared in Der Deutsche Merkur, biographical sketches of Lavater and Joachim Neander, and her exposé of Cagliostro.
