Catherine Lucille Moore (Indianápolis, 24 de enero de 1911-4 de abril de 1987) fue una escritora estadounidense especializada en literatura fantástica y de ciencia ficción [1] . Fue una de las primeras autoras de la corriente conocida como ficción especulativa.

Escritora y guionista americana, Catherine L. Moore destacó por su obra dedicada a la fantasía y a la ciencia ficción, sobre todo en el campo del relato. Moore publicó gran parte de su obra bajo seudónimo y ocultó en numerosas ocasiones sus colaboraciones con su marido, el también escritor Henry Kuttner .
Este nuevo autor firmaba su narración como C. L. Moore y lo que nadie sabía entonces era que bajo ese ambiguo C. L. se escondía una muchacha de veintidós años, con el nombre de Catherine Lucille.
