Anton Ulrich (22 October 1687 – 27 January 1763) was Duke of Saxe-Meiningen from 1746 to 1763. Life. Anton Ulrich was born on 22 October 1687 at Meiningen. He was the second but first surviving son (in order of birth he was the eighth) of Bernhard I, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen and his second wife, Elisabeth Eleonore of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel .
Antonio Ulrico de Sajonia-Meiningen (en alemán, Anton Ulrich von Sachsen-Meiningen; Meiningen, 22 de octubre de 1687- Fráncfort, 27 de enero de 1763) fue duque de Sajonia-Meiningen desde 1746 hasta 1763.
Bernhard chose the town of Meiningen as his residence and became the first duke of Saxe-Meiningen. From 1682 Duke Bernhard I had the Schloss Elisabethenburg built and in 1690 established a court orchestra (Hofkapelle), in which Johann Ludwig Bach later became the Kapellmeister (1711).
19 de ago. de 2018 · Upon Friedrich Wilhelm’s death in 1746, Anton Ulrich became the sole ruler and Duke of Saxe-Meiningen. Although he was now the sole ruler, Anton Ulrich remained in Frankfurt, conducting most of his governmental duties from there, and only made occasional visits to Meiningen.
George I (German: Georg Friedrich Karl; 4 February 1761 – 24 December 1803), was Duke of Saxe-Meiningen from 21 July 1782 until his death in 1803. He was known as a reformer and considered a model prince by many of his peers.
