Apsley House is the London townhouse of the Dukes of Wellington. It stands alone at Hyde Park Corner, on the south-east corner of Hyde Park, facing towards the large traffic roundabout in the centre of which stands the Wellington Arch. It is a Grade I listed building .

Apsley House was the home of the Duke of Wellington and is a national shrine to the victor of Waterloo, filled with artworks from across Europe celebrating the duke’s victory against Napoleon in 1815.

The original house was designed and furnished in the neoclassical style by Robert Adam between 1771 and 1778. Much of this was swept away when Apsley was remodelled on a grand scale for the Duke of Wellington from 1819.
