  1. Charles Berkeley, 1st Earl of Falmouth (11 January 1630 – 3 June 1665) was an English nobleman and naval officer who was the son of Charles Berkeley (15991668) and his wife Penelope née Godolphin (died 1669), of the Bruton branch of the Berkeley family . He served the exiled Stuart court.

  2. The first creation, on 17 March 1664, was for Charles Berkeley, 1st Viscount Fitzhardinge, who was at the same time created Baron Botetourt of Langport. It became extinct upon his death the following year. The second creation, on 14 July 1821, was for Edward Boscawen, 4th Viscount Falmouth. It became extinct in 1852.

  4. 18 de may. de 2024 · Charles Berkeley, 1st Earl of Falmouth was buried in a vault in St John the Baptist's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 22nd June 1665. His name was inscribed on a stone there in the late 19th century. He was the second son of Sir Charles Berkeley of Bruton in Somerset and his wife Penelope (Godolphin).
