Francis II of Saxe-Lauenburg (Ratzeburg, 10 August 1547 – 2 July 1619, Lauenburg upon Elbe), was the third son of Francis I of Saxe-Lauenburg and Sybille of Saxe-Freiberg (Freiberg, 2 May 1515 – 18 July 1592, Buxtehude), daughter of Duke Henry IV the Pious of Saxony. From 1581 on he ruled Saxe-Lauenburg as duke.

Francisco II de Sajonia-Lauenburgo ( Ratzeburgo, 10 de agosto de 1547 - Lauenburgo, 2 de julio de 1619) fue el tercer hijo de Francisco I de Sajonia-Lauenburgo y Sibila de Sajonia-Friburgo ( Friburgo, 2 de mayo de 1515 - Buxtehude, 18 de julio de 1592), hija del duque Enrique IV el Piadoso de Sajonia.
The following year, Magnus hired troops in order to retake Saxe-Lauenburg via force. Francis II, an experienced military commander in imperial service, and Duke Adolphus of Schleswig and Holstein at Gottorp, then Lower Saxon Circle Colonel (Kreisobrist), helped Francis I to defeat Magnus.
