Biography. Francis Newport was a member of the aristocracy in England. Francis Newport, 1st Earl of Bradford was born on 23 February 1619/20.1 He was the son of Richard Newport, 1st Baron Newport of High Ercall and Rachael Leveson. He was baptised on 12 March 1619/20 at Wroxester, Shropshire, England.
1620-1708. Francis Newport, 1st Earl of Bradford. Resident on Twickenham riverside. Francis, 2nd Baron Newport, was created Earl of Bradford in 1694. He came to Twickenham as Lord Newport in 1682, to live in the house on Twickenham's riverside later rebuilt as Richmond House.
