Harald V (Norwegian: Harald den femte, Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈhɑ̂rːɑɫ dɛn ˈfɛ̂mtə]; born 21 February 1937) is King of Norway. He succeeded to the throne on 17 January 1991. Harald was the third child and only son of King Olav V of Norway and Princess Märtha of Sweden .
Harald V (født 1937) er Norges konge, sønn av kong Olav V og kronprinsesse Märtha. Han etterfulgte sin far den 17. januar 1991 og ble da den første norske konge født i Norge på 567 år (den forrige var Olav Håkonsson, som ble konge i 1380 ). Harald V (born 21 February 1937) is the King of Norway. His father was Olav V of Norway. [3] . He became king in 1991. Harald was born in Skaugum, Akershus, Norway. In 1968, he married Sonja Haraldsen. They had two children: Princess Märtha Louise and Prince Haakon .

31 de dic. de 2022 · His Majesty King Harald V of Norway was born on 21 February 1937 at his parents’ home, the country estate of Skaugum, near Oslo. The only son of Crown Prince Olav (the future King Olav V, 1903-1991) and Crown Princess Märtha (1901-1954), he acceded to the Throne when his father passed away on 17 January 1991.
The current king Harald V descends from all of the four kings belonging to the House of Bernadotte (1818–1905) that preceded the House of Glücksburg on the throne and is the first Norwegian monarch to be a descendant of all previous Norwegian monarchs since 1818.
