Greene married Joan Fogge, the daughter of Sir John Fogge, Knt. They had two daughters: Anne Green (c.1489 - before 14 May 1523) who married Nicholas Vaux, 1st Baron Vaux of Harrowden (d. 14 May 1523) as his second wife. Vaux had previously been married to her sister's mother-in-law, Elizabeth FitzHugh.
Maud was born on 6 April 1490 or, 1492 in Northamptonshire, the daughter of Sir Thomas Green, of Boughton and Green's Norton, and Joan Fogge, daughter of Sir John Fogge. Her mother died when she was an infant. She became a lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon, the first wife of King Henry VIII sometime after 11 June 1509.
