John C. Bravman is an American academic administrator who is currently serving as the 17th president of Bucknell University.

4 de mar. de 2022 · He is the University’s 17th president and longest-serving. Beyond his academic accomplishments, Bravman has also earned accolades such as the Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching and serves as the chair on the board of directors at Geisinger Health System.
Dr. Bravman was appointed Chairman of the Board in December 2016 and also chairs the Emergency Action Committee. Dr. Bravman serves as a member on the Geisinger Family, Audit and Compliance, Finance, Governance and Patient Experience, Academic Affairs and Quality committees of the board.
John Bravman is Bucknell’s 17th president. He came to Bucknell from Stanford University, where he oversaw the undergraduate program as Freeman-Thornton Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and served as Dean of Stanford’s Freshman-Sophomore Residential College, which he founded in 1999.
John C. Bravman, PhD, president of Bucknell University, was appointed to the Geisinger Health Board of Directors in September 2012. Dr. Bravman was appointed chairman of the board in December 2016 and also chairs the Emergency Action Committee.
