Muri, früher auch Muri ( Freiamt) genannt, ist eine Einwohnergemeinde im Südosten des Schweizer Kantons Aargau und Hauptort des Bezirks Muri. Die Einwohner der Gemeinde im oberen Bünztal nennt man Murianer, im Gegensatz zu den Bewohnern der gleichnamigen Gemeinde im Kanton Bern, die Muriger genannt werden.
