Sir Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, 1st Baronet, (9 May 1801 – 12 April 1866) was an English landowner, developer and Member of Parliament who founded the town of Fleetwood, in Lancashire, England.
The Fleetwood Baronetcy, of Rossall Hall in the County of Lancaster, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom in 1838 for Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, of Rossall Hall, a politician and landowner.

20 de abr. de 2022 · Peter Hesketh was Lord of the Manor, High Sheriff of the County of Lancashire and MP for Preston. He had ideas about making his mark on the history of Fleetwood. Bust of Sir Peter Hesketh Fleetwood, on display at Fleetwood Museum. Once Peter was knighted he petitioned Queen Victoria to add ‘Fleetwood’ – his mother’s maiden name – to his own name.
Sir Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood is depicted holding a model of the nearby Lower Lighthouse. Sir Peter initiated the development of Fleetwood in the 1830s. He was Lord of the Manor, High Sheriff of the County of Lancashire and MP for Preston – and the man who put the town of Fleetwood on the map.
