QIA was established by the Amiri Decision no. 22 for the year 2005, which defines QIA’s objectives and governance framework. QIA is responsible to the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment (SCEAI) of the State of Qatar, chaired by His Highness the Emir of Qatar.
