La Región Capital (en danés: Hovedstaden) es una región administrativa de Dinamarca, establecida el 1 de enero de 2007 por la reforma municipal danesa, que sustituyó la anterior división administrativa en distritos (amter) por cinco grandes regiones.
The Capital Region of Denmark (Danish: Region Hovedstaden, pronounced [ʁekiˈoˀn ˈhoːð̩ˌstæðˀn̩]) is the easternmost administrative region of Denmark, and contains Copenhagen, the national capital. The Capital Region has 29 municipalities and a regional council consisting of 41 elected members.
Region Hovedstaden er med sine 1.891.871 indbyggere (2023) den mest folkerige af Danmarks fem regioner. Regionshovedsædet ligger i Hillerød. Den største by er København, som med 1.363.296 indbyggere (2023) udgør omkring 70% af regionens indbyggere. Region Hovedstaden styres af et regionsråd som første gang blev valgt den 15. november 2005.
The five Regions of Denmark ( Danish: regioner) were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties ( amter) were abolished.
