Rhett Lashlee (born June 9, 1983) is an American college football coach who is the head coach at Southern Methodist University. He previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Miami from 2020 to 2021.
Lashlee was the offensive coordinator at Arkansas State (2012), helping the Red Wolves to a Sun Belt Championship and quarterback Ryan Aplin to Conference Player of the Year honors, and at Samford (2011), after having served as a graduate assistant at Auburn (2009-10) and Arkansas (2006).
Lashlee, who was a semifinalist for the Broyles Award honoring the nation’s top assistant in his first season at The U, spent the 2018-19 seasons as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Southern Methodist before joining the Hurricanes prior to the 2020 season.
With Sonny Dykes apparently on his way to TCU, SMU is bringing in a familiar face to replace him as its new head football coach in Miami offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee.

29 de nov. de 2021 · DALLAS (SMU) - Rhett Lashlee is returning to SMU, this time as Head Football Coach, Director of Athletics Rick Hart announced today. Lashlee previously served as offensive coordinator for the Mustangs, including during the record-setting 2019 season.
