St. Michael's Cathedral (Romanian: Catedrala Sfântul Mihail, Hungarian: Gyulafehérvári Szent Mihály érseki székesegyház) is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Alba Iulia, Romania, and is the oldest and longest cathedral in the country.

Royal tombs, including Queen Isabella and her son (the first prince of Transylvania) are inside, as well as a 2209-pipe organ framed by a medley of baroque and Gothic decoration.

Saint Michael’s Cathedral of Alba Iulia was built between 1247 and 1291, which makes it contemporary to the famous Notre Dame of Paris. Furthermore, it appears that a great French architect, Villard de Honnecourt, contributed to its design.

Built 800 years ago, the Roman Catholic Cathedral is the oldest cathedral in Transylvania. It has also the oldest and tallest building both in Alba Iulia and the Alba County for centuries. Its 56.7 meter tower dominates the city skyline seen from afar. The cathedral is considered to be the third religious building on the same site.
