Tajlu Khanum (Persian: تاجلو خانم) or Tajli Begum (تاجلی بیگم), also known by her title of Shah-Begi Khanum (شاه بگی خانم), was a Turkoman princess from the Mawsillu tribe and mother of Tahmasp I.
Tahmasp I ( Persian: طهماسب یکم, romanized : Ṭahmāsb or تهماسب یکم Tahmâsb; 22 February 1514 – 14 May 1576) was the second shah of Safavid Iran from 1524 until his death in 1576. He was the eldest son of Shah Ismail I and his principal consort, Tajlu Khanum . Tahmasp ascended the throne after the death of his father on 23 May 1524.
Tahmasp era hijo del Shah Ismaíl I y Shah-Begi Khanum (conocida bajo el nombre de Tajlu Khanum) de la tribu turcomana Mawsillu. Tenía sólo 10 años de edad cuando sucedió a su padre Ismaíl, fundador de la dinastía safávida.
Mahinbanu Sultan (Persian: مهینبانو سلطان; 1519–1562) was the little daughter of Shah Ismail I of Persia (r. 1524–1576) and Tajlu Khanum. She was the youngest sister of Shah Tahmasb. She had a big influence during the reign of her brother, and acted as his political adviser.

Sultanum Begum rose to become the harem's leader after Tajlu Khanum's exile to Shiraz in 1540. She had an independent royal court and her vizier was Khwaja Ibrahim Khalil. She also gained the honorific title of Mahd-i Ulya .
