Kakashi is a studio album by Japanese saxophonist and composer Yasuaki Shimizu. It was originally released in 1982 through the Better Days label. The album was recorded at Nippon Columbia Studios in Tokyo, while production was handled by Shimizu and Aki Ikuta.

August 9, 1954 - Japan. The Japanese composer, saxophonist and producer, Yasuaki Shimizu (Japanese: 清水靖晃 ), began his career as a saxophone player in the 1970's. He released his first solo album, "Get You", in 1978 and from 1980 won a following with his experimental rock band Mariah, with whom he released five albums.
1 de mar. de 2022 · Shimizu grew up in the Japanese countryside near Mt. Fuji, where he took an early interest in music, learning how to play percussion, violin, guitar, clarinet, and piano. Around age 11, he took up the saxophone, which ultimately became his primary instrument.
