Bento Gonçalves es un municipio brasileño del estado de Río Grande del Sur, en la microrregión de Caxias do Sul. Se encuentra en medio de la Sierra Gaucha, a 125 km de Porto Alegre , capital del estado.
Bento Gonçalves situa-se a uma altitude de 691 metros, sendo um dos municípios mais elevados da Serra Gaúcha e do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O relevo do município é formado predominantemente pelo planalto, contendo pequenas falhas geológicas, vales, poucas áreas planas e muitos morros. [ 77]
