Ried im Innkreis ist eine Stadt im Westen Oberösterreichs mit 12.482 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Jänner 2023) und liegt etwa 80 Kilometer westlich von Linz und 60 Kilometer nordöstlich von Salzburg. Sie ist Bezirkshauptstadt des Bezirks Ried im Innkreis und bildet im Innviertel ein Mittelzentrum.
