Joan Lunden (born Joan Elise Blunden, September 19, 1950) is an American journalist, an author, and a television host. Lunden was the co-host of ABC 's Good Morning America from 1980 to 1997, and has authored over ten books. She has appeared on the Biography program and Biography Channel .
Joan London was born to Jack and Bess Maddern London on January 15, 1901. Her father was so smitten that he kept a special photo album to memorialize her importance for him. Unfortunately, he would leave her daily presence when she was only two and a half. She and her younger sister Becky lived with their mother, who was assisted by Jenny Prentiss.
Australian writer Joan London is the author of the short-story collections, Sister Ships and Other Stories and Letter to Constantine, and the novel Gilgamesh.
