    Rostislav had four sons: 1. David Rostislavich, prince of Novgorod; 2. Mstislav Rostislavich, prince of Smolensk; 3. Roman I of Kiev, prince of Kiev; and 4. Rurik Rostislavich, intermittently pince of Kiev. He also had two daughters: 1. Elena Rostislavna of Kiev-Smolensk (died 1204); and 2. Agrafena Rostislavna (died 1237).
