As a staff producer at Columbia Records, Wilson was one of the "midwives" of folk-rock, producing three of Bob Dylan's key 1960s albums: The Times They Are a-Changin', Another Side of Bob Dylan, and Bringing It All Back Home, along with the 1965 single, "Like a Rolling Stone."

13 de may. de 2024 · Tom Wilson (born March 25, 1931, Waco, Texas, U.S.—died September 6, 1978, Los Angeles, California) was an American record producer best known for producing the early groundbreaking albums of Cecil Taylor, Sun Ra, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, the Velvet Underground, and Frank Zappa.
The growing airplay led Tom Wilson, the song's producer, to remix the track, overdubbing electric instruments and drums. This remixed version was released as a single in September 1965. Simon & Garfunkel were not informed of the song's remix until after its release.
