Interlochen State Park is a public recreation area covering 187 acres (76 ha) between Green Lake and Duck Lake in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. It was the State of Michigan 's first officially recognized state park.
The community is home to the Interlochen Center for the Arts and also contains Interlochen State Park between the shores of Duck Lake and Green Lake. Interlochen is a designated Michigan State Historic Site.
Located just 15 miles southwest of Traverse City, Interlochen State Park is situated between two well-known fishing and swimming lakes: Green Lake and Duck Lake and adjacent to the National Music Camp. 490 Campsites (59 rustic - remaining are modern, some sites with 50 amp service).
