Biography. From 1924–1926, Longuet was the editor of Le Quotidien and later became the editorial secretary of the Nouvelle revue socialiste in 1926. After a trip to Morocco in 1926 and in 1927, his work as a lawyer led him to defend anti-imperialist activists.

Robert-Jean Gustave Longuet, né le 9 décembre 1901 dans le 14 e arrondissement de Paris, où il est mort le 19 mars 1987 [1], est un avocat, journaliste et militant socialiste français. Il est le fils de Jean Longuet et l'arrière-petit-fils de Karl Marx.

Rédacteur au Quotidien en 1924-1926, Robert-Jean Longuet était secrétaire de rédaction de la Nouvelle revue socialiste en 1926. Pendant l’hiver 1926-1927, il effectua un long voyage au Maroc au cours duquel il rencontra notamment Yves Farge* avec lequel il noua une solide amitié.
