Its seven sections (or articles) detail the core components of how the framers wanted the government to run the country.
7 Articles of the Constitution. The United States Constitution contains 27 amendments, which are additions or changes to the original article text. The first ten amendments, known as the Bill of Rights, were ratified in 1791 and protect the rights of citizens.
