Note the octagonal barrel and elegantly curved grip. The Mode`le 1892 was issued with a full flap leather holster.

The 8mm/92 [8 x 27 mm R], officially designated as 8 mm Lebel by the C.I.P., is a rimmed cartridge used in the 8mm M1892 revolver and inexpensive handguns manufactured in Belgium and Spain.

Of these, the .22 is the smallest and least powerful. The other three are defensive loads that are popular among armed citizens, with the 9mm Luger being the most widely used.
29 de feb. de 2024 · In 1858, the French navy was the first military organization to issue a cartridge firing revolver, the Modéle 1858 Lefaucheux which fired a 12mm pinfire cartridge. It was followed up with the improved Modéle 1858 NT Lefaucheux and, the very first standard issue, centerfire revolver, the 11mm Modéle 1870 Lefaucheaux.
