'Day of the Rangers'), also known as the Black Hawk Down Incident, was part of Operation Gothic Serpent. It was fought on 3–4 October 1993, in Mogadishu, Somalia, between forces of the United States—supported by UNOSOM II—against the forces of the Somali National Alliance (SNA) and armed irregulars of south Mogadishu.

27 de jun. de 2024 · Two Black Hawk helicopters were shot down by rocket-propelled grenades, leaving surviving aircrew at risk at the helicopter crash sites. Most of the troops fought through to the first crash site, but they were then pinned down under heavy fire.
