Cleopatra, cuyo nombre significa “gloria de su padre”, fue la última reina de la dinastía ptolemaica, y con su muerte se cerró el periodo helenístico de Egipto. Es una de las figuras más recordadas del Antiguo Egipto, y pese a ello, apenas nos han llegado representaciones fiables de su rostro.

C.), [n 2] conocida como Cleopatra, fue la última gobernante de la dinastía ptolemaica del Antiguo Egipto, aunque nominalmente la sucedió como faraón su hijo Cesarión.

Although arguably the most famous Egyptian queen, Cleopatra was actually Greek and a member of the Ptolemaic Dynasty (323-30 BCE) which ruled Egypt after the death of Alexander the Great (l. 356-323 BCE).
