The Ducal Castle, also known as the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, and Szczecin Castle, is a renaissance castle in the city of Szczecin, Poland, located at the Castle Hill in the Stare Miasto (Old Town) neighbourhood, near the Oder river. It is built in the gothic and Pomeranian mannerism architectural style.

In the restored castle of Pomeranian dukes, you can visit the high tower, birds exhibition, maritime exhibition with many thematic expositions, antique furnitures, torture tools and the collection of eastern art. The dates and times of the castle opening can be seen on the official website here.
Current state. The castle has survived to modern times in the form of a heavily reduced ruin. Contrary to the views of the older literature, the brick relics on the castle hill visible to this day are not relics of the 18th-19th century palace, but the remains of a medieval castle, rebuilt in the 17th century.
The Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin. In 17th century duke Philip II decided to build fifth wing, the so-called Museum wing. The last Pomeranian duke was Boguslaw XIV (1580-1637). The Westwal’s Treaty (1648) divided the duchy into two parts where western part with Szczecin fell to Swedes.
