The album was recorded with John Marshall before he retired from music. Marshall died on 16 September 2023. The current line-up of Soft Machine, in place since August 2022, comprises John Etheridge (guitar), Theo Travis (saxophones, flutes, keyboards), Fred Thelonious Baker (bass) and Asaf Sirkis (drums).
