17 de feb. de 2024 · Alcanzó la cima de su fama en 1821, con el tema bíblico, «El festín de Baltasar». Otras de sus impresionantes obras, es «El paraíso perdido», estampas que sirvieron para ilustrar el poema del mismo nombre, del poeta John Milton. Envió su primera pintura al óleo de la Real Academia en 1810, pero no fue admitida.
